Mayor Dave Ament is seeking volunteers to fill a vacancy on the City’s Safety Saturday Committee. This Committee advises the Mayor, Common Council and Police Department of the City of New Berlin regarding the annual Safety Saturday event generally held the third Saturday of each May. The Committee is responsible for the coordination and organization of Safety Saturday in conjunction with the Police Department. In addition, the Committee will provide recommendations regarding the best methods and practices in assisting and advising the Police Department and Citizens of New Berlin regarding personal safety, security, crime trends and crime prevention. The Police Department, as a member of the Committee, will assist the Committee by providing technical support and statistics as needed regarding crime patterns and trends.
The committee generally meets at 6:30 pm on the third Monday of each month. Meetings are held at the Public Safety Building located at 16300 W National Ave.
