The donations received for the New Berlin Food Pantry from the City’s July 4th “United….That’s How We Roll” reverse food parade far exceeded expectations. Over 5,400 pounds of food and other staples were collected in addition to over $1,500 in cash donations.
“The outpouring and generosity from the community was phenomenal. It was great to see so many residents stop by and participate in this event” stated Mayor Dave Ament. “Joan Reichelt, our Parade Marshall representing the New Berlin Food Pantry, was absolutely delighted in the response. The City’s truck was filled to capacity with canned goods, cleaning supplies and personal hygiene products. Thank you again to all those who took the time to stop by, say hello, & make a much-needed contribution during these difficult times. It was a great way to come together while making a real difference in this community. ”
