After receiving further clarification from the Governor’s Office, Mayor Dave Ament has re-opened the City’s Recycling Center located at 3711 S Casper Drive. Summer hours for the recycling center will be in effect, which means the center will be open:
• Tuesdays and Thursdays 9 am – 7 pm, and
• Saturdays 8 am – 4 pm.
Please note that the Tuesday & Thursday hours have been expanded slightly from last year, and the Recycling Center will be opening now at 9 am on those days.
Residents should expect longer wait times since the City will be limiting the number of cars entering the Recycling Center. Social Distancing must be practiced. We ask residents for their cooperation and respect for our employees and others. Residents are encouraged to wear masks. The Recycling Center is open to only New Berlin residents and Drivers Licenses will be checked. In the case of a new resident whose driver’s license does not match their current New Berlin address, both the driver’s license and a Utility Bill will be required for evidence of residency.
Should the City find that the proper social distancing is not being practiced by our residents, the City will reconsider its’ decision to reopen. The Safety of our residents and employees is our utmost priority.
