Mayor Ament has declared August 2018 "Children's Vision and Learning Month." The Proclamation encourages parents, educators, school nurses, and all concerned adults to recognize the role of vision in the learning process to prevent or reduce the impact of untreated vision problems on our childrens' reading and learning abilities.
