WAUKESHA COUNTY — The Village of Mukwonago will be hosting a special one-day collection of household hazardous waste open to any Waukesha County resident on Saturday, May 17th from 8:00 a.m. to noon. The collection will take place at the Village Public Works Garage at 630 Hwy NN.
Old, unusable chemicals, pesticides, wood preservatives, solvents, oil-based paints, and mercury-containing products will be accepted. Latex paint, non-hazardous cleaning materials, motor oil and oil filters will not be accepted. Check with your municipal drop off site for motor oil and oil filter recycling.
Waukesha County’s four year-round collection sites located in Muskego, Waukesha, Menomonee Falls, and Franklin will observe the Memorial Day holiday with closings Saturday, May 24 through Monday, May 26.
