PUBLIC NOTICE
The New Berlin Police Department is scheduled for an on-site assessment as part of a program to achieve accreditation by verifying that it meets professional standards.
Administered by the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Accreditation Group (WILEAG), the accreditation program requires law enforcement agencies to comply with state-of-the-art standards in four basic areas: policy and procedures, administration, operations, and support services.
Agency employees and the public are invited to offer comments by calling 262-754-1890 on December 14th, between the hours of 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm. Comments will be taken by the WILEAG Assessment Team assigned to conduct this assessment.
Telephone comments are limited to ten (10) minutes and must address the New Berlin Police Department’s ability to comply with WILEAG’s standards. A copy of the standards are available at the New Berlin Police Department, 16300 W. National Ave, New Berlin, WI 53151. Questions may be directed to Sergeant Noah Phillips by calling 262-780-8149.
Anyone wishing to submit written comments about the New Berlin Police Department’s ability to comply with the standards for accreditation may send them to the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Accreditation Group at the following address or email address:
