New Berlin WI - On May 25th, Mayor Dave A. Ament surprised city employee, Rubina R. Medina, with the 25th Annual John W. Bauer Award for Municipal Excellence. Rubina Medina has served the City of New Berlin for over 2 years.
Rubina is New Berlin’s newly appointed City Clerk. Her willingness to embrace the city’s staff and community as her own, as well as her deep sense of responsibility to this organization has deemed her most deserving of this special award.
“Rubina is always happy to assist staff with a smile, she has an exceptional caring nature and an optimistic eye for the future,” stated Mayor Dave Ament. “I believe her extraordinary work ethic and expertise will lead to the successful operation of her department.”
About the JW Bauer Award for Municipal Excellence: This award was created to carry on the tradition of outstanding customer service as practiced by John W. Bauer, a former City employee of 30 years. City employees are nominated for their outstanding customer service; nominations for the award are submitted from citizens or employees.
