Our city's greatest asset is the people that make New Berlin their home. Our concerns are with the life safety issues that present themselves during the various construction activities that take place in the homes and businesses of New Berlin. The State of Wisconsin has always prided itself on its progressive approach in protecting its citizens by adopting and implementing thorough building, plumbing, and electrical codes. Cities and municipalities are then charged with the duty to protect the public by the enforcement of these codes.
Codes & Ordinances
The following are codes and ordinances enforced by the Community Development Department:
New Berlin City Hall will be under construction beginning March 29th through the end of June. We currently anticipate that the Assessor, Community Development, Inspection, Recreation, and Engineering will be impacted during the weeks of April 26 and May 3. Some staff will be relocated to the first floor of City Hall, however not all staff will be in the building during that time. Please call ahead for more information.
