The Street Department creates, erects, and maintains all City street signs. The Department has a computerized sign making machine that is used to create the green name street signs, but also used to create stop signs and other street information signs. These signs are not only necessary to locate a home or business, but also for transportation safety on our City streets.
There is a lot of vandalism of signs throughout the City. It is not only costly to replace a sign, but a very dangerous situation is created when a traffic sign is removed. If you see anyone removing or damaging a sign, please call the New Berlin Police Department at 262-782-6640 and report it before someone gets hurt.
