New: DNR Statewide Community Tree Map Features New Berlin, WI
The Department of Natural Resources Urban Forestry Team has decided to upload the City of New Berlin Street Tree Inventory to add to the interactive Community Tree Map of Wisconsin. Anyone can now look at all of the trees in the City in ROW, Municipal buildings and Parks and see the differing attributes about each tree. The best part of this program is the benefit calculator that tells the appraised value of each tree, ecological benefits such as storm water mitigation and carbon reduction, and overall benefit to the community.

Some of the information can help with species selection to avoid over representation of any one tree type, planting locations, pruning cycles and removals based on health or hazards. This information will be updated regularly. Please see our Preferred Species List to use as guide when selecting trees.
