Recycling Center
The City of New Berlin has a recycling center for yard waste and other recyclable items for Residential customers only.  Paper, junk mail, cardboard, #1 and #2 plastics and glass.  Please see our information sheet for additional information (see below)

We accept appliance that are metal, but do not accept any appliance that contains Freon (i.e. air conditioners, dehumidifiers, freezers and refrigerators).   We also accept computers, printers and electronics. Wood chips, compost, and firewood are free to New Berlin residents when available. Just stop by the center during regular business hours and take whatever you need! The center is located at:

Hours

Winter Hours December through March are Saturdays only from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm

Summer Hours April through November:  The recycling center is open on Saturdays from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. and Thursdays from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm. See information sheet for exact hours and times.  Closed major holidays.

Recycling Bins
New or existing residents can obtain a free blue recycling bin at the city recycling center or at the Street Department, located at:
16550 W. National Ave.
New Berlin, WI 53151

Please bring proof of residency.

Yard Waste
For an additional fee, your private waste hauler can also pick up your yard waste. Contact your waste hauler for additional information. The recycling center also accepts branches, leaves, and lawn clippings. Invasive species (i.e., garlic mustard) should be placed in clear plastic bags and put out with your trash for pick-up.
