The community relations / city clerk's office is the city's central office of communication. It encompasses the city clerk, a statutory officer who is responsible for:

• Administering elections
• Issuing licenses and permits
• Managing city records
• Preparing official minutes
• Providing legal notifications to the public
• Business of the Month

The community relations / city clerk's office provides administrative support to the Common Council, various boards, commissions, and committees, and other departments as needed.
