Proclamations
Requirements
The office of Mayor Dave Ament issues proclamations and certificates of recognition in the City of New Berlin to recognize and commemorate special occasions and significant community and individual achievements. Recipients must currently or have previously resided in the City of New Berlin. The following examples meet the criteria for proclamations and certificates of recognition: 
  • Cultural, social, or historic events with significance to the City of New Berlin 
  • Organizational or individual milestone anniversaries of 10 years or more 
  • Posthumous recognitions
  • Eagle Scout Certificates of Recognitions
  • Academic or Athletic Accomplishments


Information to Be Included
All requests for proclamations must be submitted in writing and received in this office at least three weeks in advance. Requests should include:   
  • Background information on the person or organization and supporting materials, such as event details 
  • Contact person
  • Date proclamation / certificate is needed 
  • Date to be proclaimed
