The City of New Berlin Fire Department is looking for qualified applicants for the position(s) of:
Paid-on-Call Firefighter/EMT

| Paid-On-Call Hiring Process:
- Return completed application in person no later than Friday, March 6, 2009.
- Written exam will be given on Saturday, March 14, 2009 at either 9:00 a.m. or 1:00 p.m. Applicants must be registered to take exam.
- Results of written exam will be mailed out the week of March 23, 2009.
- Upon successfull completion of the written exam candidates will move on to the CPAT (Candidate Physical Ability Test ) administered by the West Allis Fire Department. The CPAT is tentatively scheduled for either Thursday, June 11, 2009 and/or Friday, June 12, 2009. CPAT orientation sessions to assist in preparing for the CPAT test are now mandatory and are available at West Allis Fire Department ( www.ci.west-allis.wi.us/fire). It is your responsibility to contact West Allis Fire Department at (414) 302-8900 to schedule for orientation sessions.
- A Reference/background check will be completed for all candidates who successfully pass the CPAT Exam.
- Interviews will be held with the Fire Chief and Command Staff.
- Eligibility list created by Fire & Police Commission based on recommendations from Fire Chief
- Conditional offers of employment sent out based on eligibility list, employment conditional on successful completion of medical exam
