The City of New Berlin requires a license for dogs and cats that are five months of age or older, and have had their rabies shots. Licenses are valid for the calendar year (January thru December) (Municipal Code, Chapter 152..Dog Ordinance / Chapter 152..Cat Ordinance) You may purchase this license in person, during regular business hours (8:00 a.m.to 4:30 p.m.), Monday thru Friday at the Cashier's window, lower level, in City Hall. This license can also be obtained by mail. Simply complete the form, and remit with the proper fee (check made out to the City of New Berlin, and mail to: Cashier's Office, 3805 S. Casper Drive, New Berlin WI 53151. The appropriate license will be mailed to you. For your convenience, there is also a brown "drop box" in the lower level parking lot of City Hall. Please remember that the Rabies Vaccination Certificate is REQUIRED, and MUST accompany the application; in person, or by mail. A copy is acceptable, and that form will be returned to you. Staff does not have the time to call individual vets, so if the form is not included, a license WILL NOT be issued. |
No more than 4 dogs over the age of 5 months are allowed on any premises. A dog license IS required, and you may be asked to present your dog's tag if requested. There is no additional fee to use the Dog Excercise area, however, there is a Park entrance fee, which can be purchased daily, or annually. |
