City Clerk

Mission Statement:

The Office of the City Clerk will provide quality services to the City Council, City staff, general public, candidates, voters and media with cost effective administration and the highest standards of ethics and integrity.

Services:

The City Clerk is a statutory officer that is responsible for City records management, election administration, legal notification to the public, the issuance of licenses and permits and the preparation of official minutes.  The City Clerk's office receives all claims filed against the City as well as correspondence directed to the City.  Besides the official functions as outlined in the state statutes, the City Clerk's office provides administrative support to the Common Council, various boards, commissions and committees and other departments as needed.  The office is also the primary source of information for citizen questions.
